Children at Ronald McDonald House Southern Alberta woke up to a very special surprise this morning; a letter from Santa and an elf named Twinkle.
To the children and families at Ronald McDonald House,
I am excited to report that a VERY special elf, Twinkle, is coming back to Ronald McDonald House all the way from the North Pole! Because the kids and families at Ronald McDonald House are away from home, I thought it would be nice to send a special elf to you.
It’s important for you to be on your best behaviour. This elf will help me make my naughty and nice list. Thanks to his Christmas magic, he will fly to the North Pole every night to tell me about all of the day’s adventures. Each morning, he will return to Ronald McDonald House in a different place to watch the fun.
There are two simple rules that you need to know. First, an elf cannot be touched; Christmas magic is very fragile and if an elf is touched it may lose that magic and be unable to fly back to the North Pole. Second, an elf cannot speak or move while anyone in the House is awake! An elf’s job is to watch and listen.
I’m planning a very special visit to Ronald McDonald House on December 22. Your elf, Twinkle will be watching Ronald McDonald House until then.
