Getting Muddy and Giving Back: Team ITC Construction Group

Posted on March 13, 2017

ITC Construction Group doesn’t mind getting a little dirty for a good cause!

For the second year in a row, members of Team ITC Construction Group put themselves to the test at 24 Hours of Adrenalin. This event, dubbed the “Woodstock of Mountain Biking,” brings mountain bike enthusiasts from coast-to-coast together on Canmore’s mountainous terrain for the challenge of a lifetime!

Last year marked not only the 20th anniversary of the event, but also some of the muddiest conditions in its history. This made for some pretty challenging laps when nighttime hit, but the team powered through and placed 13th out of 52 teams – an impressive improvement from 2015’s 42nd place finish!

Although it certainly gives the team some bragging rights, getting that top spot isn’t why ITC participates. For them, it’s an opportunity to rally together raising funds and support for the hundreds of families with sick children who rely on Ronald McDonald House in Calgary each year – and that they did! Recently, the team visited the House to present a cheque for $8,600.

Whether they were right in the heart of the action or showing support from the sidelines, many ITC employees played an important role in the race. Bryon, Curtis, Dustin, Jaret, Paul, Sky and Tom took on the course, while Nicole and Taylor managed the campsite, offering constant encouragement to the racers.

ITC’s donation to the House was also made possible thanks to generous contributions from the team’s Gold-Level Sponsors: Saunders Landscaping, Keller Canada, Westridge Cabinets and KBM Flooring.

The best part of all? Team ITC Construction Group is already getting pumped to participate again this year!
