Many families spend weeks, or even months, at a time at a Ronald McDonald House while their child is receiving medical treatment in hospital. Being a Mom can be a tough job at the best of times — and the strength that comes from Moms who have a sick or injured child inspires us all.
We had the chance to sit down with three past House Moms in honour of Mother’s Day: Hayley Beauregard, mother of Aurora, who spent close to 100 days at the House; Marie Howell, mother of Jaxon, who spent 63 days at the House; and Joyce Yu, mother of Charlee, who has spent 213 days at the House so far. They spoke about the lasting friendships they made with other RMHC mothers and the lifelong bonds that exist, even after they leave.
This video provides a glimpse into the incredible support that RMHC Moms provide to each other. Click above or here to see the video.
